The investment is asset-backed through total (private projects) or partial (crowdfunded projects) ownership of land and tree-farm by the investor(s).

This investment does enable investors to apply to migratory benefits, more specifically temporary residency, if the investment amount is of at least 160.000 USD. Visa costs are separate but not substantial.

The IRR has been conservatively calculated; however, returns are not guaranteed,and IRR does depend on exchange rate, growth rate, and price of offsets.

While there is a currency effect since the purchase of land and the plantation’s cost shall be covered in Colombian Pesos, the project offers a tremendously attractive additional benefit, in the form of a natural hedge against currency volatility, because all income from the sales of bonds is received in USD.

Yes, in crowdfunded projects the participation is fully transferable, and Gutierrez Group may act as the intermediary between the seller and the buyer pursuing fair conditions for both parties. Gutierrez Group chargesa 3% liquidation / intermediation fee to help find and transfer the participation to a new buyer.  Legal fees pertaining to the agreement shall be borne by parties.

Investors can hold their participation and obtain their profits in several ways: on a personal level; through a Colombian company, which Gutierrez Group can assist creating; or through an international structure or entity, ifit meets local legal requirements.

There is a management fee already included in the projection of the figures and that is equivalent to a cost overrun of 30% of the direct costs of the project; and a success fee of 30% of the excess after reaching the projected annualized IRR of 20%. There are no hidden costs and therefore no additional capital shall be required beyond that of investment amount.
