OUR SOLUTIONS
Colombian Carbon Credits is an afforestation/reforestation project in Colombian degraded savanna soils combining the plantation of fast-growing exotic species, the protection of native forests, and social responsibility with local communities towards accelerated carbon capture and the obtention of high-fidelity CO2 bonds certified by The Gold Standard to be sold in the voluntary carbon market to companies seeking to compensate for their carbon footprint.

the species
We plant Eucalyptus Pellita as it is the most resilient and suitable species to efficiently restore and recover these degraded savannas, and because of its extraordinary carbon capture potential. Eucalyptus helps regulate oversaturation of water during the raining season, offers protection from excessive solar radiation and increases soil porosity thus generating the necessary balance for the growth and restoration of native forests.
Ultimately, our plantations enable the return of local biodiversity through natural processes, in which we do not interfere. After only 3 years, native species start growing underneath the Eucalyptus plantations, allowing local fauna and flora to thrive once again.
